Post-Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

First Important Steps

TattooMed (the sticky film protection) can be left on for a MAXIMUM of 5 days, it can be removed sooner if needed. To remove the covering you will need to follow the steps below:

1. Wash your hands thoroughly

2. Gently remove the covering by stretching it towards the skin until it is all off.

3. Gently rinse and massage away any surface residue with clean warm water. Most soaps will be too harsh for cleansing the fresh tattoo so only use soaps made specifically for tattoo aftercare, otherwise just use warm water.

4. Pat dry with kitchen towel and then allow to air dry.

5. Once completely dry you can now apply an extremely thin layer of the aftercare product we gave you

6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 when applying aftercare.

7. Continue to use the aftercare until you no longer feel it is necessary, it is just to stop the healing tattoo from getting too dry.

If your artist has advised you to change your covering after the first day follow steps 1-4 above and then carefully apply the new piece TattooMed.

DO NOT use the aftercare cream before applying the TattooMed film as it will stop it from sticking to you!
